VolksWorking is a community-led directory dedicated to helping classic Volkswagen owners find specialist garages they can trust. Whether you’re restoring a Beetle, maintaining a T2 camper, or keeping a Karmann Ghia on the road, we want to make it easier to find the right people for the job. Focusing on UK listings for now, expanding according to demand.

Why we built this

If you’ve got a good local garage, you’re sorted — until you’re not. Maybe you move to a new area. Maybe you break down somewhere you’ve never been. Maybe your usual guy retires. Suddenly you’re stuck trying to find someone who actually knows their way around a classic VW, and that’s not as simple as picking the nearest place on Google.

Word of mouth only goes so far, forum posts go stale, and generic directories don’t understand the difference between a modern service centre and a proper air-cooled specialist. We built VolksWorking to fix that — a single, searchable directory focused entirely on classic VW expertise, wherever you are.

How it works

Every garage on VolksWorking has been submitted by the community — owners, enthusiasts, and the garages themselves. Listings include the services offered, vehicle types covered, location, and contact details. You can search by postcode to find specialists near you, or browse by vehicle type or service.

If you’ve had a good experience with a garage, you can recommend them to help other owners make informed choices.
